Abstract
Còngenital pulmonary artery agenesis has been known as a disease entity since its first description in 1868 by Fraentzel. Madoff, et al., in their review of the subject in 1952, reported the first successful clinical diagnosis of this condition by angiocardiography. Congenital pulmonary artery agenesis. associated with other congenital cardiovascular anomalies is more frequent than an isolated defect. In Korea congenital pulmonary artery agenesis with PDA was first recognized in 1976 and the isolated defect was first confirmed in 1978. A case of the congenital left pulmonary artery agenesis confirmed by pulmonary arteriography in a young Korean female is presented together with a review of the literatures.
