Abstract |
For the assessement of correlation between Rosette positivity and plasma level of immunoglobulin in the pulmonary tuberculosis cases, Rosette tests, absolute numbers of Rosette-forming lymphocytes and immunoglobulin measurements were performed in 14 normal control subjects and 84 pulmonary tuberculosis cases.
The results were as follows;
1. The Rosette positivity and absolute numbers of Rosette-forming lymphocytes were significantly decreased according to the severity of the pulmonary tuberculosis.
2. The plasma level of immunoglobulins, especially IgA, represented increasing tendency according to the severity of pulmonary tuberculosis.
3. Strong positive correlation could be observed between Rosette positivity and the plasma level of IgG (r=0.8456). |
