Choong-Ku Health Center, Seoul, Korea
Abstract
Choog-Ku Health Center has been doing mass radiographic survey on the employees numbering 13,586 who were engaging in hotels, barbershops and beauty shops, bars, tea rooms and restaurants in the district of Choong-Ku, Seoul during the period of 3 months July 1, 1962 to Sep. 30. 1962. Since tuberculosis is still one of the most infective diseases and highly infectious among the populations, we have been doing X-ray check-ups each year especially to the employees(in entertainment businesses) to combat the disease. Each year they were not so much cooperative to this overall radiologic examination that no successful result have been obtained yet. But during the above period, an intensive survey on this program could been done with the proper guidance of the health authorities. Here I should like to present these result for the purpose of giving notices to the proprietors of the entertainment businesses.
