Abstract
The solid and hematologic cancers are occasionally accompanied by peripheral blood eosinophilia and suggested tumor necrosis or wide dissemination, but the mechanisms underlying this curious relationship remain obscure. The association of this eosinophilic leukemoid reaction with carcinomas seems to occur most frequentlγ with bronchogenic carcinoma. Several mechanisms for this "association " were considered; eosinophil chemotactic factor, eosinopoietic hormone, eosinphilia mediated by T-lymphocyte indirectly and some possibility of co-existing paradtic infestation or drug allergy. We here reported a case of poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma of lung accompanied with marked peripheral eosinophilia in a 60-year old male patient.
