Abstract
Candida was studied in the stool of 136 cases of normal Persons, and 131 cases of Pulmonary tuberculosis. Positive rate of Candida species is 20.6% in pulmonary tuberculosis. 8.1% in normal persons. Positive rate of Candida albicans is 63.0% in Candida-positive Tuberculous Patients, 72.2% in Candida-positive normal persons. Candida positive rate is increased in proportion to the abnormality of the stool, that is, diarrheal stool or mucous stool has increased positive rate. In moderately advanced or for advanced Patients, the candida Positive rate increases. Agglutination Test and Skin Test with Candida Vaccine(0.1m/, 1:1000 packed cell volume) was studied in 136cases of normal persons, and 131 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis. In Agglutination Test, 36.6% positive in tuberculous patients, 21.3% in normal persons. There is no significant relationship between the Agglutination Test and Candida positivity in stool. In Skin Test, 33.6% in tuberculous patients, 16.9% in normal persons were positive. There is no significant relationship between the Skin Test and the Candida positivity in the stool. But, there is slight relationship between the Agglutination Test and the Skin Test.
