Abstract
Thymolipoma, first described in 1916 by Lange, is the benign encapsulated tumor containing intermixed thymic and fatty tissue. It is rare anterior mediastinal tumor reportedly 2% to 9% of all the thymic tumors. There were some descriptions in association with Grave’s disease, aplastic anemia, myasthenia gravis and Hodgkin’s disease. The major symptoms they produce, if any, are the results of pressure on surrounding structures. Recently, we experienced a 42-year-old woman with symptoms such as chest pain, productive cough and dyspnea diagnosed as thymolipoma. And herein we report this case with review of literatures.
