Abstract
We report a case of pulmonary embolism which was diagnosed by radioaerosol 99m Tc-DTPA ventilation scan and 99mTc-HSA perfusion lung scan. The diagnosis was confirmed by digital subtraction angiography of pulmonary artery. We suggest that radioaerosol 99m Tc-DTPA ventilation scan is a useful alternative to 133Xe-ventilation scan in the diagnosis of pulmonary embolism.
